London Transport Museum’s new Poster Girls exhibition will be brought to life for children this October half term, with related family-friendly activities taking place throughout the holiday.
Storytime sessions for all ages
Sessions take place at 11:00 and 14:00 and last approximately 20 minutes
Join the Museum’s guest storyteller on a magical adventure. A little monster finds a mysterious poster that comes to life and transports her into the world of the picture. Discover the weird and wonderful characters she meets and then help the characters lead their new friend back into the real world.
Make & Take, ages 3 – 12
Sessions from 11:30 and 14:30; activities last up to one hour
Children can create their own story book inspired by posters from the Museum’s new Poster Girls exhibition. Children will be invited to find shapes, people and places they can see tucked away in the pictures. Using stencils, collage and drawing techniques they will create a story that takes their characters through an imaginary world.
Families with Special Educational Needs are also invited to an Early Explorer Morning on Saturday 28 October, where children will be able to discover the joys of the Museum before general public opening hours. See below for more information.
